Sweet Sweet Summertime!

Summer has been an absolute whirlwind! Wondering how in the world it is already the middle of July?!

My family and I went out of town over the 4th of July and took my perfect, amazing, cute, silly nephew to Disney World. He is my entire world. 8 adults and 1 baby prancing around Disney. If that does not scream first child, first nephew, first grandkid I do not know what does. It was the perfect little summer trip with my family. We all live pretty close to each other but it is not super often that we get to spend days on end of intentional time together and it was very special to do so. He absolutely loved Mickey and all of the rides at Magic Kingdom (besides Pirates of the Caribbean)

Since my first post I have also started a new job! It was not on my horizon at all, but an opportunity presented itself and it was too good to pass up. With that being said I had to say goodbye to my first job post grad, it was sad but it was also time. My job was great and it served its purpose for the last 2 years, but it was time to move on and I also wanted more for myself and wanted to use my brain a little bit more. I am loving it so far!! Still very much in the early/learning phase, but it has been great! I get to go into the office most days, there are tons of other young people, and my sister also works there! To many this would sound crazy, but we are 2 peas in a pod and it could not be more fitting that the 2 of us are working together everyday. It has been a great adjustment and the timing truly felt so right.

I am still working at my family’s restaurant about 4-5 nights a week as well. It keeps me busy and I find such great purpose in working there. I feel at home and I love to hear stories of customers knowing my grandpa and even great grandpa from 50 plus years ago. It helps me stay connected and I know my Papa would be proud.

Life is busy! Time is flying by and I am trying to soak up every second and stay off my phone as much as possible. My goals for this year have been:

  • Stay off of phone/social media more
  • Be comfortable saying no, but stay adventurous and make memories
  • Prioritize myself
  • Take more pictures
  • Find the beauty in things every single day

I feel so thankful for this life I am living. God is truly so amazing and I see it in every aspect of my life. Be back soon!!
